Autobus ke stezce Magome Tsumago stojí vlevo od stanice. Platí se až při výstupu z autobusu. Není-li tam řidič klidně nastupte.

南木曽町の中心駅で、簡易委託駅。2面3線の地上駅で、特急しなのの一部 (下りは1・7・17・25号、上りは2・16・18・20号) が停車。ここが事実上の名古屋口の東端で、次の十二兼駅から倉本駅まで単線となり、ここから塩尻方面の普通列車の本数が減る (約二時間に一本)。また、朝夕を中心に当駅と中津川駅を結ぶ列車もあり、早朝には当駅始発の普通が二本 (休日は一本) あるが、下りは全て中津川駅が終点。

The toilets attached to the station on your right as you exit don't have toilet paper or western style toilets, but the ones to the left just past the bus stop have both.

I stopped in this little town once in the dead of winter on my way to Nagano. It was so peaceful and quiet. One of the most beautiful, natural places I saw in Japan. I will always remember it fondly.
