The top floor in the garage always has good spots right by the elevator until about 10am. For rush hour, stand towards the end of the platform for more room. Get a SmarTrip card as well.

The "reserved" spaces near the exit are reserved from 2am to 10 am only!

If you're in DC on vacation and have family in Virginia meet them at this stop for pickup and avoid all the downtown traffic

Park in the kiss and ride garage while you wait for your party. They can take bridge across to you, avoiding the elements. Plenty of free spaces daily.

During rush hour be careful of which train you get on. Sometimes there are yellow trains at the station.

Make sure you beat the morning rush by taking the train at least 15 mins earlier than your actual timeline. You can never tell what's going to happen to the trains that day.

They are doing construction in the garage and there are a significant number of spots being obstructed.. Be ready to shed blood for a spot.
