Quiet hilltop park in the heart of Washington Heights. Stroll through this old site of an American Revolution fort and check out the cannons on display. Officially the highest point in Manhattan!

If you look in the center of the park, you will find a rock coming out of the earth. on this rock you will find a plaque indicating that you have located the highest natural point on Manhattan!

This is the former site of Fort Washington, built by the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. It was captured in November 1776 by British and Hessian Forces and occupied by them until 1783.
