Super clean, everything looks new. The staff is the friendliest we've met in all of New Zealand. And great location, the lake right in front of you. 10 min walk from the bustle of the city centre.

Such a comfortable little hostel. Clean and convenient, not on the main strip of hostels so much quieter. Staff are a bit miserable though!

The kitchen is nice and spacious, some people don't clean after themselves though. Don't be that person. There is a nice lounge area. The free wifi is also pretty good. 👍🏼

They've completely renovated. Bathroom and dorms are nice and clean. The hallway looks nothing like the other photo I saw here. Here's an updated photo of the hallway.

Great prices and decent rooms! Fantastic location right on the lake front and only a 5-10 minute walk to town, good if your on a budget!

Nice large hostel, nice and quiet, especially the double rooms, although shared bathroom has a kitchen and lounge with tv and microwave.

Place is clean and we have got a room with lake view. The shower room is clean and spacious and the water is hot and strong.
