It would be better if the chapels, the keep, the halls and the towers were well kept. The columns were shaky and the walls wobbly. But the view at the top of the towers was worth seeing.

People often say they can't find the Castlen town - that's because it's actually best viewed from the Whitcliffe which is a fair walk out of town or a short drive. see www.cometoludlow.co.uk for more
