Madonna was here in 2008! Entry for tourists only after you show your passport. Souvenir adult and kids' yarmulkes available for INR 100.

Built in 1884, this picturesque sky-blue synagogue still functions and is tenderly maintained by the city’s dwindling Jewish community. Best viewed in the afternoons.
